Kitchen Cabinet Painting Services
Spray-Painted Doors
Spray finishing gives the smoothest result: brush-mark free and as close to a factory finish as on-site work can achieve. Where the kitchen layout allows, we remove doors and drawer fronts, spray them in a controlled environment, and rehang when cured.
Solid Wood and Victorian Joinery
Solid timber doors and original Victorian kitchen joinery need more preparation than modern MDF. We strip or sand back to a sound surface before applying specialist primer. Victorian pine-fronted dressers in Jericho townhouses are a common brief.
Colour Matching
Many Oxford clients want specific colours from Farrow & Ball or Little Greene. Common briefs include Off-Black, Mole’s Breath, Ammonite, or Elephants Breath. Eggshell and satin are usually the right choice for period property kitchens.
Painting vs Replacement
A 20 to 35-door kitchen with Farrow & Ball colour typically costs £2,500 to £4,000. Replacing an equivalent quality kitchen runs £15,000 to £50,000+. Where carcasses are sound and doors are in good condition, painting is the right call.
Worktops and Carcass Panels
End panels, larder side panels, and island carcass faces can all be painted as part of the same project. Carcass panels are included in the scope where needed.

Our Kitchen Cabinet Painting Process
1. Site Visit
We assess the kitchen: door count, surface type, existing finish condition, spray access, and adjacent features needing protection.
2. Preparation
All doors and drawer fronts are degreased and cleaned. MDF doors are sanded and primed. Solid timber doors are stripped or heavily sanded before specialist primer.
3. Spray or Brush Application
Doors are removed where spray is the method. Carcass panels and in-situ elements are brush or roller applied with a fine finish roller.
4. Rehanging and Finishing
Doors are rehung and adjusted for alignment. Hardware is refitted. The kitchen is inspected in good light.
5. Cure Time
Cabinet paint takes two to three weeks to reach full hardness. No heavy cleaning or impact for the first two weeks.

Trade Insight
Colour calibration before ordering product is essential. Computer-matched paint to a chip is not always accurate. We advise on this before any product is ordered.
